38-year-old Khum Bahadur Sunari, who was injured while fishing in the river using explosives, has died.
38-year-old Sunari from Nisdi Rural Municipality-5, Galdha Gejha, Palpa, was injured while fishing in the Arunkhola, on the border of Nisdi Rural Municipality-5, Palpa, and Madhyabindu Municipality-14, Nawalparasi, Raikote. Police have stated that Sunari died during treatment at Rampur Hospital.
Sunari had serious injuries to her thigh, right leg, and left hand. Police had sent Sunari, who was unconscious, to Rampur Hospital for treatment. 35-year-old Roman Singh Kharu Magar from the same place was also injured. Police have stated that the condition of the injured Kharu Magar is moderate.
Further investigation into the incident is underway. Police have urged everyone not to engage in such activities as fishing in rivers and streams using explosives is illegal and extremely risky. Recently, fishing has been carried out in the river using explosives, batteries, and various means of electricity. Such incidents are happening frequently because the local level, police, administration, and locals are not paying attention to this.
