Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has conducted an on-site inspection of the Daunne area under the Narayangadh-Butwal road section under expansion. Home Minister Gurung came for an on-site inspection after public complaints were received about the traffic jams and inconvenience in vehicle operation on the Daunne section.
During the inspection, Minister Gurung directed the government agencies and the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible as per the plan. He directed that the work to be done by the government side should be done immediately and the contractor should complete the work quickly by adding more manpower without making any excuses.
In the Daunne section, passengers have been suffering due to traffic jams for hours even during normal rains due to mud and poor road conditions.
Even though the road is sloping in this section, passengers have been suffering for 7 years due to the non-completion of work on time.
Home Minister Gurung also monitored the management of wastewater discharged from Chaudhary Industrial Village in Nawalpur today. Locals had been complaining that the industrial wastewater was not being managed properly. Similarly, they had also submitted a memorandum demanding that the wastewater be managed if it was affecting the animals of the nearby buffer forest.
