The Rukum East District Hospital building constructed in the district headquarters Rukumkot has been inaugurated. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya inaugurated the new 50-bed hospital building on Sunday.

The construction of the hospital building located in Sisne Rural Municipality-5 began in 2078 BS and was completed last Poush. After Rukum East became a separate district after federalization, the district hospital services were being operated from the building of the former Area Health Office since 2074 BS. Now that this building has been built, the service flow of the office has also become easier.

Although it was formally inaugurated, the hospital has said that services have already started from this building about 2 weeks ago. Although the district hospital should have 50 beds, due to lack of physical and technical manpower, it has been providing services up to 15 beds in the past, so the structure has been built for 50 beds in this new building. But currently, the hospital chief Dr. Krishna Kharal said .

Although the hospital building is adequate, there is a shortage of various equipment and skilled manpower required for health treatment, and Dr. Kharal emphasizes that all stakeholders should take necessary initiatives to fulfill it .
