The Rupandehi police have arrested 20 people, including an Indian citizen, involved in online betting. Three women are among those arrested.

They were arrested from various places in Rupandehi on Chaitra 19 and 27. After more people were identified during interrogation of those arrested on Chaitra 19, others were arrested again on Chaitra 27.

Two Nepalis and 18 Indian citizens are among the arrested. The police have also recovered various items used in online betting from them.

9 people were arrested from Tilottama Municipality-7 of Rupandehi and 11 people from Tilottama-15, Kotihawa. The arrested Indian citizens from Tilottama-7 are Pradeep Gupta, 30, Pawan Kumar, 22, Satish Kumar, 20, Manukumar Soni, 21, Amar Kumar, 21, Nar Singh, 21, Ram Ashish Singh, 24, Sudeep To Majhi, 31, and Abhisek Thakur, 22.

Three laptops, 20 mobile phones, and five accounting registers were recovered from them, said DSP and spokesperson of Rupandehi District Police Office Krishna Kumar Chand.

Police have arrested 11 people from Tilottama-15 Kotihawa on Chaitra 10. The arrested Indian citizens are Sandeep Kumar, 28, MD Hakim, 43, Satendra Singh, 26, Shyam Sundar, 36, Deepak Pandey, 32, Riyaz Ahmed, 35, Pradeep Kumar, 36, Tannu Kumari, and 38, Rakhi Jha. DSP Chand said that Aklesh Kumar Yadav, 34, a resident of Omsatiya Rural Municipality-1 in Rupandehi, and Seema Rana, 38, a resident of Surkhet and currently residing in Tilottama-15, Kotihawa, have been arrested.

23 bundles of check books of various Indian banks, 25 ATM cards of various banks, 91,725 ​​Nepali cash, 1 Indian passport, 3 stamp stamps, 3 pen drives, 21 mobile phones of various companies, 6 laptops of various companies, 30 Aadhaar cards of various Indian individuals and 1 router of JTF company have been recovered from their possession.
