A Gurans trek has been organized in Uwa, Rolpa with the aim of promoting tourism in the district. A three-day trek was organized by the ward office in Buki Patan, Uwa, Thabang Rural Municipality-4.
Hikmat Gharti Magar, Ward Chairman of Thabang-4, said that a trek was organized in the Gurans area from Chaitra 26 to 28. ‘This year, a three-day trek has been organized in the context of the New Year,’ he said, ‘Treatment will be encouraged throughout the month of Baisakh.’
Various Gurans are in bloom in Buki Patan, which is located at an altitude of about 3,000 meters above sea level. He said that the area is now snow-covered, making the environment more pleasant for hikers.
The trek was started from the ward office in Ghorabang, Thabang-4. The Buki Chaur and Guranse forests here are an attraction for hikers. In this process, various competitions were organized for their enjoyment, including taking hikers to the Buki Patan area.
Gobin Sahayati, a teacher based in Thabang, said that the hike started from the famous local Jalaki area. He said that the hikers enjoyed Bang Kharka, which is known as the Guran Garden. He said that the hikers enjoyed reaching various beautiful areas of Jantare, Ghaldhare and Upper Uwa. According to him, poetry and video competitions were organized during the trek.
The Guranse Area Promotion Ward Office started organizing the hike last year. The Buki area, which is located on the border of Rolpa, Rukum East and Baglung districts, and the number of people watching the Guranse blooming is increasing every year. The attraction of youth towards the various types of herbs and plants, wildlife and attractive Buki Patan found in this area has increased. Tourism entrepreneur Balkuram Pun said that the Guranse trek organized in the Buki area of Uwa has increased the number of domestic and foreign tourists.
