Six people have been arrested on charges of gambling inside a casino in Manigram, Tilottama-5, Rupandehi. A team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police from the District Police said that they were arrested while checking the casino on Wednesday night. 

The District Police Office said that a Nepali citizen who was gambling and was playing was taken into custody along with cash during a check at the CMG Club Casino in Manigram. The police said that further investigation is underway by keeping the arrested person in custody. 

According to the police, Mukesh Kumar Shrestha of Barahathawa-8, Sarlahi, and Ajay KC of Godavari Municipality-15, Lalitpur have been arrested on charges of gambling. Govinda Sharma of Butwal-12, Rupandehi, Basudev Gautam of Butwal-9, and Krishna Gautam, Chandra Prasad Shrestha of Butwal-11, were arrested while gambling, said DSP Krishna Kumar Chand, Information Officer of the District Police. 

According to him, 22,17,390 Nepali rupees and 3,500 Indian rupees in cash were recovered from the casino. Apart from this, casino coins worth 125,000, 6 mobile sets from different companies and 7 decks of cards were recovered, said Chand.
