A young man who was shot by a security guard during a dispute between two communities in Bargada, Maharajgunj Municipality-2 on Chaitra 27 has died during treatment.
Jitendra Yadav, alias Arun, 22, of Buthaniya, Maharajgunj Municipality, died during treatment on Monday morning. He was undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur since Chaitra 28 after being shot in the stomach.
Information Officer and DSP Ripendra Kumar Singh of the District Police Office said that he died on Monday morning during treatment. He underwent surgery on Chaitra 28 and was kept on a ventilator for two days and shifted to the ICU. After that, he was being treated in a general ward for 10/11 days. Police said that he died suddenly on Monday morning while in a normal condition.
Yadav had a wound in his intestines and underwent surgery. Five people, including him, were shot in the incident. Four others have returned home after treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College.
On Chaitra 20, the Taulihawa-Bahadurgunj road under the Hulaki road section was tense after a clash between two communities in Bargada village. In the meantime, a clash took place between protesters and police at Jigana intersection in Maharajgunj Municipality-6, west of the incident. In the meantime, Yadav was injured after being shot by security personnel.
