A fire broke out in Chhedaghat, Airavati Rural Municipality-1, Pyuthan, destroying 22 houses and 14 sheds. The fire that broke out around 12 o'clock last night destroyed 8 houses and 14 sheds, said Ward Chairperson of Airavati Rural Municipality-1, Amar Resmi Magar.

The fire broke out in the thatched hut of Laxman Rana, a resident of Chhedaghat, Airavati Rural Municipality-1, and destroyed 13 houses and sheds, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Pyuthan, Narahari Adhikari.

The thatched hut of Dewan Singh Rana, Bikash Rana, and Laxman Rana were completely destroyed in the fire. Similarly, along with the thatched house of Ishwari Rana, utensils, clothes, food, and 3 cows and 15 goats were burnt to death.

One house and one shed of local Ramesh Gharti were completely destroyed. Police have also reported that 6 goats have died, utensils, clothes, half a tola of gold and Rs 50,000 in cash have been destroyed by fire. Om Bahadur Resmi Magar's 1 house and 2 sheds have been completely destroyed by fire, and 33 goats have been burned to death. In addition, Rs 71,500 in cash has also been destroyed by fire.

Similarly, 1 house of Bhupal Roka has been completely destroyed by fire, and 18 goats and 1 goat have been burned to death. Rs 200,000 in cash and half a tola of gold have also been destroyed by fire.

1 house and 1 shed of Guma Razali, 1 house and 1 shed of Bal Bahadur Razali, 1 house and 1 shed of Jhabindra Razali, 1 house and 1 shed of Ghana Bahadur Rana, along with 15 goats, 2 bulls and 4 chickens have been burned to death. Dev Bahadur Razali's 1 shed and 15 goats have been burned to death. Similarly, one cowshed in Dila Rajali was burnt, one goat was injured and two cows died in the fire, said Police Inspector Hari Bhattarai, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Pyuthan.
