More than 1,300 patients have benefited from the free health camp conducted in the district with specialist doctors. The camp was organized on Saturday in Malika Rural Municipality-7, Ghamir of the district with the active participation of youth.

The camp was organized by the Ghamir Sports and Cultural Youth Club and coordinated by the ward office at the Ghamir Health Post, said the club's secretary Govinda Karki. Of the people who took services from the camp, 138 people underwent video X-rays and 105 people underwent ECG tests, he said.

The camp was treated by doctors including orthopedic and transplant specialist Dr. Ramesh Aryal, senior consultant physician gold medalist specialist Dr. Suman Acharya, ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. Santosh Basnet, MDGP Dr. Sunil Sunar and medical officers Vijay Pandey, Santosh Pandey and Ashish Bhurtel. club, the camp was organized to provide facilities including specialist doctors in the village for those who cannot go elsewhere for treatment due to various reasons including financial constraints. 'There was an understanding that youth clubs are only for sports and cultural entertainment,' he said, 'We have organized free health camps to set an example that they are also for the society.' He thanked all the beneficiaries for availing the service and said that they would facilitate further treatment if the disease is identified.
