A new working committee has been elected under the chairmanship of Sameerman Singh from the 17th convention of the Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Singh defeated his rival Shailendra Bhattarai for the post of chairman by 68 votes. Singh got 579 votes while his rival Bhattarai got 511 votes.

Out of 1,295 voters, 1,112 votes were cast for the chairman. 21 votes were invalid.
36 candidates had filed their nominations for the 25-member committee of the association. Ranjana Thapa Aryal won the post of vice-chairman of commerce with 531 votes. Competitor Surendra Karmacharya got 336 votes.

Muktiram GC was elected unopposed as vice-chairman of industry. Some members from the sector were elected unopposed. Binod Nepal and Bishwa KC were elected in Zone 3, Narayan Neupane and Narayan Bahadur Pachai in Zone 4, Mohan Bahadur Kunwar and Sabin Malla in Zone 7. Bidur Ghimire and Suresh Godar in Zone 10, Jeevan Pandey and Kamal Pandey in Zone 11 won. Jeevan Pandey and Santosh Shrestha tied, so Jeevan was elected through a ballot.

Sanjay Kumar Shrestha and Bishnu Bahadur Pachai from Zone 2, Vinayak Maharjan and Kishore Darshan Bajracharya from Zone 5, Laxman Prasad Regmi and Aman Shrestha from Zone 6, Ramesh Raj Bajracharya from Zone 8, Nirakar Shrestha from Zone 9, Deepak Ghimire and Gangaram Nepal from Zone 12, Samat Miya from Zone 13, and Damodar Gaire as an associate member were elected unopposed.
