The local administration has lifted the prohibitory orders imposed in various places in the district. The prohibitory orders were lifted from 9 am on Tuesday.

Maharajgunj Municipality, Ward No. 2, Bardaga village, on Saturday morning, after a dispute between two communities escalated into an uncomfortable and tense situation, the District Administration Office had issued a prohibitory order in various areas of Maharajgunj Municipality from 2 pm on Saturday. 

Assistant Chief District Officer Bhavishwara Ghimire said that the prohibitory order was lifted to normalize the peace and security situation and make the lives of citizens easier. A prohibitory order was issued in the Maharajgunj Municipality area from 2 pm on Saturday and in the Kapilvastu Municipality, Mayadevi and Suddhodana Rural Municipality areas from 1 pm on Sunday, prohibiting gatherings, meetings, processions and demonstrations. 

On March 27, a dispute between two communities in Bardaga village, Maharajgunj Municipality-2, had left the southern part of the district in turmoil. As the situation in the district has returned to normal since Monday evening, life has become easier.
