The body of one of the hunters who went missing in Bardiya National Park on Falgun 23 has been found.
The body of 33-year-old Top Bahadur Khatri of Barahatal Rural Municipality-2, Surkhet, was found in the Babai Valley Ratamate area of the park, said District Police Office, Surkhet SP Sudhir Raj Shahi.
Shahi said that the five people who went with him fled towards India via Bardiya.
A team including the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and park staff, who are responsible for the security of the park, had been searching for two weeks. Park Information Officer Saroj Mani Poudel said that a gun was found near Khatri's body. 'Since it is a remote place and there is no phone service, more details are yet to come,' he said.
