An Indian youth has died after drowning in the Tinau River in Tinau Rural Municipality-3 of Palpa, while another is still missing.

On Sunday afternoon, around 2 pm, two of the seven youths who had come from India went missing while bathing in the Tinau River. The missing persons were 17-year-old Fahran Ansari and Aman Ansari from Santakabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, India.

According to the police, the body of Fahran Ansari was found about 100 meters below the place where he drowned at around 10 am on Chaitra 20, said Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer Hom Prakash Chaudhary. The search for another missing youth, Aman Ansari, is ongoing,  he said.  The police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
