A dispute between two communities in Bargada village of Maharajgunj Municipality-2 on Saturday afternoon had made life abnormal. A district-level coordination/harmony meeting was held and a collective commitment was made to not allow any violent, provocative activities and activities that disrupt communal harmony from any side in the coming days.
In a meeting organized by the District Administration Office in Taulihawa, it was informed that some of the culprits of the incident have been arrested and the search and investigation of others is underway, so the culprits will be arrested and strict action will be taken as per the law. It has also been decided to request the Ministry of Home Affairs and Maharajgunj Municipality for the treatment of those injured in the incident.
It has been decided that the local administration will take strict action against those who spread misleading information, hate speech and incitement of unrest and engage in illegal activities.
Maharajgunj Municipality has decided to prioritize programs such as awareness and reconciliation to maintain peace at the local level, identify risk areas, provide necessary assistance to the injured in the incident, and coordinate the operation of markets, educational institutions, and public services.

In the meeting, newly elected MP Bikram Singh Thapa urged everyone to be restrained and maintain peace, security, and harmony by all communities.
