Here is the start of the first Batauli Cup T-20 Cricket on Sunday. Butwal Goalpark Cricket Club and Star Cricket Academy won the two matches held by 63 runs and Star defeated Palpa-11 by 5 wickets. In the first match held at Siddhartha Cricket Ground, Goalpark won the toss and elected to bat and scored 153 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing all their wickets.

For them, Ishwar Chhetri and Sagar Gaire scored 37-37, Sujan Gautam scored 19, Dipesh Roka scored 15 and Harjit Singh scored 10 runs. In bowling, Lumbini Shakyan's Sachin Rajbhar took 3 wickets, Azmat Ali and Gulshan Yadav took 2-2 and Akash Giri took 1 wicket.

In reply, Lumbini Shakyan scored only 90 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. For them, Priyanshu Verma scored 28 and Rahat Hussain scored 19 runs. In bowling, Goalpark's Sagar Giri and Harjit Singh took 2-2 wickets each, and Kalam Ali, Sumit Thapa and Ricky Pun took 1-1 wickets.

The tournament was organized by Prithvi Narayan Shah Sports Foundation, managed by Rupandehi Cricket Association and supported by Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City. 16 teams from Nepal and India are participating in the tournament that will run until Chaitra 15.

According to the organizers, the winning team of the tournament will receive Rs 50,000 in cash. Similarly, the runner-up will receive Rs 25,000 in cash, the Man of the Series will receive Rs 10,000, the Best Bowler and Batsman will each receive Rs 5,000, and the Man of the Match of each match will receive Rs 1,000.
