The agricultural fair and tourism exhibition in Tinti Aap, Palpa, ended on Sunday. Farmers brought their products to the fourth fair with the slogan 'Let's increase agricultural production, end dependency' for exhibition.
Rajesh Kumar Aryal, Ward Chairman of Tansen Municipality-9, said that despite the dry weather in the month of Chaitra, the farmers put on an excellent agricultural exhibition. Farmers have said that the exhibition organized by Madanpokhara Sangam Multipurpose Cooperative Organization of Tinti Aap, Tansen Municipality-9, with the promotional support of Ward Office No. 9, has helped encourage farmers in agriculture.
Leading farmer Padma Raj Poudel said that the exhibition provided an opportunity to display the products produced by farmers and exchange experiences with each other. He said that production-based, transportation subsidies, and marketing should be facilitated. The cooperative's chairman, Ghanshyam Ghimire, said that farmers from various places in Tansen Municipality as well as Mathagadhi and Baganaskali brought food and vegetable products for the exhibition.

In the agricultural fair and exhibition, Ranichudi Tol Bikas Sanstha Madanpokhara won the food category, Binod Kumar Sharma of Tansen Municipality-10 won the spice category, Maheshwor Pantha of Tansen Municipality-10 won the miscellaneous category, Rana Agriculture and Livestock Farm of Tansen Municipality-7 won the vegetable category, and Bishnu Prasad Basyal of Tansen Municipality-6 won the root vegetable category.
Chandra Bahadur Kumal of Tansen Municipality-7 won the chicken category, and Krishna Bahadur Kumal of Tansen Municipality-7 won the goat category. On the same occasion, the cooperative honored leading farmers of Tinti Aap and Damkada, Padamraj Poudel, Tulsi Devi Gaire, Harish Chandra Bhusal, and Chintamani Pangeni. Damodar Gharti of Mathagadhi Rupse Dohora, Shukra Bahadur Boudel of Madanpokhara Padekharka, and Ram Bahadur Kumal of Tansen Municipality-10 Telgha Prabhas were also honored.
Tansen Municipality Mayor Santosh Lal Shrestha, Cooperative Chairman Ghanashyam Ghimire, Ward Chairman Rajesh Kumar Aryal and others presented cash prizes and certificates to the winning and honored farmers. During the program, Tansen Municipality-7 Ward Chairman Pradeep Khanal and Federation of Nepali Journalists Palpa Chairman Kamal Raj Timilsena emphasized that such fairs should be organized at the district level as agricultural fairs and exhibitions provide additional encouragement to farmers. Folk and bhajan singer Shirish Devkota also performed a dance to preserve local art and culture during the fair and exhibition.
