A citizen support room has been opened at the Land Revenue and Land Reforms Office, Nepalgunj, Banke to maintain the authenticity of land ownership certificates.
Banke-2 elected House of Representatives member Mohammad Istiyak Rai inaugurated the 'Citizen Support Room' at the Land Revenue and Land Reforms Office on Tuesday, fulfilling his election promise.
During the election campaign, Rai had announced that he would establish a service center within 15 days of winning the election. The service center was opened within 10 days of winning the election. Inaugurating the service center, Rai said, 'I was told that citizens had to spend money and suffer a lot to maintain the authenticity of documents due to burning. Seeing that suffering, I had promised the service center.'
Expressing happiness over the operation of the service center, MP Rai said, 'It will be a relief for citizens whose financial situation is weak.' He said, 'Everyone can get services here, but those who cannot afford to pay for accounting should make the most of the services!' Rai thanked the Lumbini Provincial Government and Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City for supporting the establishment of the service center.
Lumbini Provincial Government's Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Aadesh Kumar Agrawal and Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Prashant Bista participated in the service center inauguration program. They said that the service center was established at the initiative of MP Rai and pledged to provide further support to the Land Revenue Office for providing service facilities to citizens in the coming days. Sabin Chaudhary, Head of the Land Reform and Land Revenue Office, Banke, said that the establishment of the service center would help citizens in accounting-related work.
