The road will be closed at Sisne Bhir in the Ridi-Bami section throughout the month of Chaitra. This section is part of the Butwal-Burtiwang road.
Assistant Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Gaire said that the highway will be closed 24 hours a day throughout the month of Chaitra to facilitate the smooth upgrading work, so vehicles plying on that road section have been completely blocked.
He said that the road will be closed at Sisne Bhir on the Rudrabeni-Bami Taksar-Kharwang road. The road will be completely closed from Chaitra 1 to 30 for construction.
Two alternative roads will be used during that time. The first is Sota-Tallorod-Rupakot-Dokuwa-Salghari-Chorkate and the second is Majuwa-Damka-Rupakot-Myalpokhari-Chorkate, said Assistant Chief District Officer Gaire.
The section of the Rudraveni-Wami Taksar road is difficult and narrow. The road has been closed for widening and cutting of cliffs.
