In Banke, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has secured the highest number of votes in all three constituencies. The RSSS, which won directly from constituencies 1 and 3 in Banke, came in second. However, it also emerged as the first party in constituency 2 in proportional representation.
Out of the total 76,062 votes cast in constituency 1, the RSSS got 34,383 votes, while the Nepali Congress got 14,224 and the UML got 10,320 votes. Here, 72,370 votes were validated, while 3,692 votes were invalidated. Similarly, the RSSS has emerged as the first party in constituency 2 by getting 24,341 votes.
While the second-placed CPN-UML got 20,552 votes, the Nepali Congress got 12,484 votes. The UML had won directly in this constituency. Out of the total 73,052 votes cast in constituency 2, 68,404 votes were validated, while 4,648 votes were invalidated.
Similarly, in constituency number 3, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has received 31,306 votes. The UML has received 16,230 votes and the Congress has received 13,278 votes. Out of a total of 74,616 votes cast, 71,184 votes were valid and 3,432 votes were invalid. The RSSS has received a total of 90,030 votes in the district.
There are 350,371 voters in Banke, which has three constituencies. Of these, 178,139 are men, 172,223 are women and nine are other voters.
