Three youths from Palpa have started a Mahakali-Mechi cycle journey from Monday with the aim of spreading the message of peace around the world. The Palpa Cycling Association has informed that 25-year-old Shantam Thaab, 37-year-old Bijan Bajracharya and 24-year-old Subinman Bajracharya from Palpa have started the cycle journey. The association's vice-president Amankaji Shakya said that the cycle journey started from Mahakali, the western border of Nepal, from Monday. The association has bid farewell to the three youths who set out on the cycle journey. The cycle journey, which started from Mahakali, will end after reaching Mechi. The cycle journey was carried out with the slogan 'Let's cycle all over Nepal, the message of peace all over the world'. Shakya, vice-president of the association, said that this journey is being taken with the aim of promoting peace, unity, health awareness, environmental protection and cycling culture.

Participant Bajracharya said that he cycled to spread the message of unity, not unrest, in the country where Gautam Buddha was born. On the other hand, he said that people are becoming unhealthy due to a sedentary lifestyle, so he cycled to spread the message of staying healthy. The cycle ride will help draw everyone's attention to peace and health. A distance of 1,100 kilometers will be covered in the eleven-day cycle ride. While bidding farewell to the team, Association President Rupesh Maharjan said that the cycle ride will play an important role in spreading the message of peace and unity around the world.
