The National Independent Party has secured victory in all five constituencies of Rupandehi. Kanhaiya Baniya of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party has won in Constituency No. 4. The Rashtriya Swatantra Party is also looking to win with a wide margin in the remaining four constituencies.
Nearly 45,000 votes have been counted in Rupandehi-1, where 97,211 votes were cast. In the ongoing vote count, Sunil Lamsal of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party is leading with 23,777 votes.
Although Prajwal Bohora of the RPP is trailing him, there is a difference of 18,995 votes. Hira Bahadur KC of the Nepali Congress, who is in third place, has secured only 5,055 votes.
Similarly, in Rupandehi-2, Sulabh Kharel of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party is leading with a margin of 38,992 votes. Out of the 86,715 votes cast, he has secured 50,144 votes when 71,08 votes were counted.
UML Vice President and former Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has secured only 11,152 votes and Congress's Chunna Prasad Poudel has secured only 8,017 votes. In Constituency No. 3, RSP's Dr. Lekhjung Thapa is leading with a margin of 38,992 votes, securing 53,822 votes out of the 97,387 cast.
He is followed by Congress' Sushil Gurung with 7,386 votes. UML's Basudev Ghimire has secured 7,174 votes.
RSP's Kanhaiya Baniya has won in Constituency No. 4, securing 28,066 votes. He defeated UML's Pramod Kumar Yadav by a margin of 7,804 votes.
Yadav had secured 20,262 votes and Congress' Ashutosh Mishra had secured 15,613 votes. Constituency No. In 5th, Tawfiq Ahmed Khan of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is also on the verge of victory.
With nearly 50,000 votes counted out of the 84,838 votes cast, he is leading with a margin of 15,446 votes. While Khan received 23,112 votes, Khimlal Bhattarai of the UML received only 7,666 votes and Bharat Shah of the Nepali Congress received only 7,584 votes.
