The district polling station in ward number 1 of Babai Village Municipality, located in the buffer zone of Banke National Park, has 686 voters, the Malaikhola polling station in ward number 7 has 530 voters, and the Kaubaghari polling station in ward number 1 of Dangisharan Village Municipality, has 756 voters, informed Gehendra Wakar, Information Officer of Lumbini Province Election Office, Dang.
A team including polling officers, employees and security personnel had reached there on the 18th and prepared for the election.
As of now, no voters have come to vote as of 11:45 am. Residents of the buffer zone of Banke National Park, located in area number 3 of Dang, have been demanding that their settlements be relocated due to the threat of wild animals. Voters here, who had taken a stand not to vote in the last 2079 election as well, participated in the vote after being assured by leaders.
Chandra Bahadur Rangumagar, a ward member of Babai Rural Municipality-7, said that they did not participate in the voting as per the collective decision to conduct zero voting in the current election, saying that their demands were not being heard. Voting has been held at Kaubaghari A center, which has two polling stations in Ward No. 1 of Dangisharan Rural Municipality in the buffer zone, while voting is still zero at Kha.
There were 756 voters in the voters' list at Kha polling station of Furkesalli in the buffer zone, while there were 756 voters.
Out of 484 polling stations, including two temporary ones in Dang, voting is underway in a peaceful atmosphere at 481 polling stations.
