Voting has been completed peacefully in all five constituencies of Rupandehi. More than 62 percent of the votes have been cast in 733 polling stations in Rupandehi.
Rupandehi Police Chief Superintendent of Police Janak Bahadur Shahi said that the voting was completed peacefully in the district without any sporadic incidents.
According to him, the work of sealing the ballot boxes is ongoing after voting has been completed in all polling stations and the work is being done to deliver the ballot boxes from all the centers to the counting center by 7 pm.
Chief Election Officer Ashok Kumar Basnet said that more than 60 percent of the votes have been cast. According to him, in the initial details, 59 percent of the votes have been cast in Constituency No. 1 of Rupandehi, 60 percent in 2, 61 percent in 3, 68 percent in 4 and more than 60 percent in 5. ‘This is the initial details,’ he said, ‘it may increase further in the final results.’ It is estimated that the highest number of votes have been cast in Constituency No. 4.
There were 672,523 voters in the five constituencies of Rupandehi. Voting was held from 213 polling stations and 736 polling stations, including temporary ones, across the district.
