About 55 percent of the votes were cast in the House of Representatives elections held in both constituencies of the district on Thursday. The voting, which began at 7 am, was conducted peacefully throughout the district.

Chief Election Officer of the Bardiya Main Election Office Manoj Shrestha said that 55 percent more votes were cast in both constituencies of the district. Chief Election Officer Shrestha said that an all-party meeting will be held after the ballot boxes reach both constituencies. The counting of votes will be held at the District Coordination Committee meeting hall of Constituency No. 1 and at the Customs Office in Rajapur of Constituency No. 2.

There are 75 polling stations and 199 polling stations in Bardiya 1, said Deputy Information Officer of the District Election Office Anup Dhakal. There are 188 polling stations and 79 polling stations in Constituency No. 2.
There are 323,266 voters in Bardiya. There are 168,040 voters in Constituency No. 1 and 155,232 voters in Constituency No. 2.
