More than 50 percent of the votes have been cast in Rupandehi, which has five constituencies, by 3 pm. According to Chief Election Officer Ashok Kumar Basnet, voting is being held peacefully and enthusiastically in all polling stations in Rupandehi. The highest voter turnout is 57 percent in Constituency No. 4 of Rupandehi. Similarly, 55 percent in Constituency No. 3, 45 percent in 1, 47 percent in 2, and 45 percent in 5, he said.
‘Some centers have also seen 60 percent of the votes cast,’ he said. ‘Overall, more than 50 percent of the votes have been cast in the entire district.’ He said that 65 percent of the votes are expected to be cast in the entire district.
