In view of the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21, the border crossings of Banke connected to India have been closed for 72 hours, so there is no hustle and bustle now.

Banke Chief District Officer Dil Kumar Tamang said that the border crossings will be completely closed from 12 midnight on Falgun 21 (Monday) to 12 midnight on Falgun 22 (Thursday). He said that the movement of pedestrians, goods and passenger vehicles through the border will be banned during that period.
Similarly, the operation of vehicles has been prohibited from 12 midnight on Falgun 20 (Wednesday) until the voting is completed on Falgun 21.
Chief District Officer Tamang informed that vehicles other than essential services such as ambulances, milk tankers, fire engines, telecommunications services, hearses, hospitals and electricity services and other permitted vehicles will not be allowed to operate.
The administration has also stated that a significant number of security personnel will be mobilized on both sides of Nepal and India, keeping in mind the security of the election.
There are 350,371 voters in Bake, which has three constituencies. Of these, 178,139 are men, 172,223 are women and nine are other voters.
