Assistant District Attorney Bhavishwara Ghimire said that the meeting held on Friday prohibited the sale, distribution, transportation and consumption of alcohol from February 15 until the final election results are announced.
The sale and distribution of alcohol has been banned in the district 7 days in advance to ensure that the election to be held on Falgun 21 is conducted in an orderly, dignified and fair manner.
A meeting of industrialists, businessmen and stakeholders held in the district headquarters Taulihawa on Friday banned the sale, distribution, transportation and consumption of alcohol from Falgun 15 until the final election results are announced, said Assistant District Administrator Bhavishwar Ghimire.
He said that those who act against the decision will be dealt with according to the law.
