64 candidates for members of the House of Representatives in the district have taken recommendations to open bank accounts. District Election Officer Kamal Bhusal said that out of 98 candidates in Kapilvastu, 34 are yet to take recommendations.

Arrangements have been made to operate the candidates' bank accounts on the recommendation of the District Election Office. To make election expenses transparent and manageable, the government has made a procedure for financial transactions through bank accounts. Of the recommendations, only 5 have provided the bank account number to the District Election Office.

The Election Commission has issued the House of Representatives Election Campaign, Bank Account Operation and Management Procedure, 2082, targeting the House of Representatives election. According to the procedure, it has been arranged that each political party and candidate must mandatorily deposit and spend the required amount for election campaign expenses through a bank account.

There are 396,265 voters in the district, which has three constituencies.
