Nepali Congress candidate from Nawalparasi West-2, Binod Chaudhary, has said that the Nepali Congress is the only party that Gen-G trusts at present. He said that the Nepali Congress is the newest party in the country based on its leaders, policies and agenda.

Speaking at a corner meeting in Bardaghat-11 on Friday, he said that the party has made its manifesto public by incorporating the dreams of the youth and mentioning all the possibilities of development. ‘Because of President Gagan Thapa, hope has arisen in the minds of the youth in Nepal and outside Nepal,’ he said, ‘Until a month and a half ago, there was no way to take the name of the party, under the leadership of two former general secretaries, the Congress has been completely transformed.’

Stating that the debate on the transformation of the Congress began only after the Gen-G movement in Bhadra, he said that the Congress was the first party to assimilate the demands of the youth and apologize for its past shortcomings. ‘Against the backdrop of the changes made by the party in history, the Congress understood that it can change others only by changing itself,’ he said, ‘Nawalparasi district made a great contribution to the special general convention of the Congress.’

He said that he felt uncomfortable in the election campaign when the Congress was divided during the 2079 elections. This time, he said, the district party leadership is together, so they are getting support from the election meeting to the campaign. ‘At some point, there was no situation to hold a meeting with Congress workers in the district,’ he said, ‘Today, all the leaders are united in the election campaign. I am indebted and grateful to everyone.’
