There is panic after six people died in this municipality due to leopard attacks. Although a search was conducted for the problematic male leopard in the area, locals say they are in panic as it has not been brought under control. Ajit Tumphahamphe, head of the National Trust for Nature Conservation, said that the search for the problematic male leopard is ongoing.
The female leopard has been taken under control and kept at the Bardiya Forest Office. The Division Forest Office has stated that eight people have died in Bardiya due to leopard attacks this fiscal year. Two people have already died from tigers and elephants during the same period.
