Lumbini Province Police Chief DIG Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri has said that security arrangements will be made to ensure that voters can cast their votes with confidence in the House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21. He said that security arrangements have been tightened in 12 districts of the province and informed that an integrated security plan has been prepared for the elections.

Speaking at a program organized in the district, he said that the districts have been classified based on security sensitivity. He said that the security strategy has been made based on the experience and feedback of past elections as well as the concerns of political parties. According to the integrated security plan, an environment will be created for the citizens of 26 constituencies of Lumbini Province to vote with confidence. He said that all security agencies are working diligently to conduct the elections in a fair, fearless, and transparent manner. 

DIG Khatri said that a similar security strategy has been made in the Terai, hill and Himalayan districts. ‘Not only districts, but also polling stations have been classified as highly sensitive, sensitive, and normal and security has been managed accordingly,’ he said. He also urged voters not to be misled by the activities of anti-election groups. 

He said that 10 people have been taken into custody from different districts in this process. He said that those who obstruct the elections will not be allowed to be active during the elections. Security arrangements will be fully made and  He said that the security strategy will be implemented effectively for a reliable and trustworthy security system.
