Pratik Adhikari, who was a candidate from the Progressive Democratic Party (PRLP) in the Dang Constituency No. 2 in the House of Representatives election, has joined the Nepali Communist Party (NCP).

Adhikari announced his entry into the NCP at a press conference in Ghorahi on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday, the Pralopa had decided to deactivate Adhikari's candidacy and support UML candidate Shankar Pokharel.

Adhikari joined the NCP after that decision. Adhikari was welcomed by Dang-2 NCP candidate Nirmal Acharya and proportional candidate Bhim Kumari Budha.

Pralopa, on the other hand, informed that it had deactivated its candidacy to support the UML candidate in Dang as per the agreement between Pralopa and UML.

As per the agreement to support each other in some districts of Karnali Province and Lumbini Province, there is no direct Pralopa candidate in all three regions of Dang, said Pralopa District Coordinator Ghanshyam Dangi. He said that the party has decided to vote for the UML candidate in all regions of Dang.
