Former chairman of Banglachuli Rural Municipality Bhakta Bahadur Wali has joined the National Independent Party (NISP). On Wednesday, NISP candidate from Dang-2, Bipin Kumar Acharya, welcomed Wali to the party.

Nepali Communist Party leader Wali was elected as the chairman of Banglachuli Rural Municipality in 2074 BS from the then Maoist Center. In the 2079 BS elections, he had tried to run for the provincial or House of Representatives. At that time, the party had stopped him. In this election too, he had tried to run for the House of Representatives. This time too, the party had stopped him in the end. Finally, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Wali was elected as the then Kavre VDC chairman from the UML in the 2054 BS local body elections. Later, he joined the Maoists and became the rural municipality chairman in 2074 BS.
