The 11th Inter-College SAI Global T-20 Cricket Tournament has begun in Bhairahawa from Tuesday. The tournament is organized by the Rupandehi Cricket Association and is the main sponsorship of SAI Global College.
Rupandehi Campus and Sai Global College 'A' team won two matches held under the competition on Tuesday. Rupandehi Campus defeated Saraswati Sanskrit by 10 wickets. Similarly, Sai Global defeated UCMS Medical College by 77 runs.
Saraswati, who came out to bat after losing the toss at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground, scored only 34 runs for the loss of all wickets in 13 overs. Rupandehi Campus's Santosh Yadav, Jitendra Kewat, Satyamsingh Chhetri and Shivakant Yadav took 2 wickets each. Rupandehi Campus scored 37 runs for no loss in 3 overs. Santosh Yadav scored an unbeaten 16 and Manish Thapa scored 15 runs in their victory.
In the next match, Sai Global 'A', who won the toss and elected to bat, scored 223 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For them, Dros Sunar scored 90, Shailendra Yadav scored 37, Ajiullah Haque scored 29, and Bindram Yadav scored 20. In bowling, UCMS' Ajit Yadav took 2 wickets and Manjushree Yadav and Safiullah Khan took 1 wicket each.
In reply, UCMS was all out for 146 runs in 17 overs and 4 balls. UCMS' Ajit Yadav scored 68 and Suraj Poudel scored 39 runs. In bowling, Sai Global's Manish Panthi took 3 wickets, Dil Bahadur Bik, Sandeep Maurya and Lekh Chhetri took 2 wickets each.
