The District Election Office, Palpa, has cleaned and organized the ballot boxes used at polling stations for the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21.
The election office staff has removed the seals on the ballot boxes used in previous elections, cleaned them and made them usable. The election office has stated that 502 ballot boxes have been kept ready for 251 polling stations in 118 polling stations in Palpa.
Two ballot boxes will be sent to each polling station for direct and proportional ballots. An additional box will be sent to each area with 1,000 voters. Approximately 100 ballot boxes have been kept for backup. The final list of names for the temporary polling stations will be published on Falgun 20. In the previous elections, there were one in Jail and one in Tundikhel.
There are 27,436 voters in Palpa, which has two constituencies. There are 98,383 voters in Constituency No. 1. There are 52 polling stations and 117 polling centers in Constituency No. 1.
There are 1 lakh 9 thousand 53 voters in Constituency No. 2, informed District Election Officer Mahesh Sharma. According to him, there are 66 polling stations and 134 polling centers in Constituency No. 2.
