A prisoner who escaped from Jagannath Dewal Prison, Kathmandu, during the protest on Bhadra 10 has been arrested in Palpa.
Police have arrested 31-year-old Krishna Darji, a prisoner in a fraud case, from Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-2, Somadi Sardewa.
Based on continuous police surveillance and confidential information, a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Palpa found him near Dobhan Siddha Baba Temple, Tinau Rural Municipality-3, Palpa district, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer Hom Prakash Chaudhary.
Police have taken the tailor into custody and sent him to the Palpa Prison Office.
In Palpa, prisoners who had escaped from various cases during the Gen-G movement, including Nawalparasi, Kaski, Kathmandu, have been arrested in various cases.
