The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested two people with 48 grams of brown heroin from Nepalgunj.
The arrested persons are Himal KC, 30, of Gadhawa Rural Municipality-4, Dang, and Sarad Khadka, 27, of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-3, the District Police Office, Banke, has informed.
According to the District Police Office, Banke, they were arrested with the said quantity of brown heroin at 10:30 am while checking at the Jamunah Checkpost in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-15.
A team of the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Nepalgunj, which was deployed based on information that brown heroin was being brought from Rupaidia, India, for sale and distribution in various places in Banke and Dang, found the brown heroin during a search.
The police have also informed that two mobile phones were also recovered from their possession. The police have stated that further investigation is underway against both the arrested persons.
