Kedarnath Shah, the vaccination focal person at the Health Office, said that 7,452 school-aged children and 977 out-of-school girls will be vaccinated.
This year, more than 8,000 teenage girls in the district will be vaccinated against cervical cancer with HPV. Last year, 8,329 teenage girls who were missed and newly vaccinated during this campaign have been vaccinated.
Kedarnath Shah, the focal person for vaccination at the health office, said that 7,452 school-going girls and 977 out-of-school girls will be vaccinated. Those in the age group of 10 to 14 years who are studying in class 6 and out of school will be vaccinated.
351 vaccination centers have been identified in the district for vaccination. 702 health workers and 351 volunteers will be mobilized across the district.
The campaign will be conducted in one phase across the district from Magh 25 to 29. The highest number of girls studying in Shivraj Municipality is 959 and 1,058 out-of-school girls. The lowest number is in Bijayanagar Rural Municipality, with 510 and 37 out-of-school girls.
