109 patients suffering from eye problems from all over the district came to the 2-day cataract surgery camp organized in Liwang. According to Khadga Bhat, in-charge of Tilganga Surgical Community Eye Center in Liwang, the camp was conducted in a new building.
All cataract patients underwent successful surgery, Bhat said. A technical team including Dr. Dipti Pradhan, a senior ophthalmologist from Tilganga Eye Institute, was deployed in the free surgery camp.
Every year, the organization has been conducting free camps. Patient selection camps were conducted at all levels in coordination with 10 local levels of Rolpa. Established 15 years ago, the Tilganga Surgical Community Eye Center, Rolpa, has been conducting a campaign to reduce blindness caused by cataracts.
