Training for election police in Palpa, which has two constituencies, has begun in Tansen, the district headquarters, and Rampur in the eastern region.

1,100 election police personnel have been trained in Srinagardada, Tansen for the security arrangements for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. Similarly, the Armed Police Force Nepal has started training 300 personnel at the Area Police Office, Rampur.

A 10-day training course has been started for 1,597 election police personnel across Palpa district, informed District Police Palpa Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hom Prakash Chaudhary.

During the training, election police personnel will be given training on the nature of the work to be done together with security personnel, code of conduct, and discipline. Two police personnel are providing training to every 100 personnel.

Basic training will be provided to election police personnel and additional training will also be provided at their convenience. They will be mobilized in the last week of Magham. 1,418 personnel were demanded from Nepal Police in Palpa. Of which 120 have been placed on the reserve list.

Armed Police Force Nepal Regiment No. 35, Palpa, had demanded 179 people. After the election police were not enough by the time of recruitment, the deadline was extended by two days. However, the police and armed forces have been completed, said Palpa District Police Chief Dipendra Panjiyar Tharu.

Those between the ages of 18 and 54 have been recruited in the election police. Those who are going to be recruited for 40 days will get the same salary and ration facilities as police personnel.
