Thai royal family members in Lumbini

Sinenath Bilaskalyani, a member of the Thai royal family, has arrived in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. She arrived in Lumbini at 4:30 pm on Thursday via the border checkpoint of Belahiya in Bhairahawa.

The 41-year-old, who has been visiting various Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India, is staying at the Royal Thai Monastery in Lumbini. On Thursday evening, she participated in a special puja organized by the Royal Thai Monastery, said Phra Bodhi Bideshwajira Shuddhi, the head monk of the Thai Monastery in Lumbini. Before that, she had met with local residents. 

On Friday, at 9 am, she is scheduled to offer prayers and worship at the Mayadevi Temple. After that, she is scheduled to reach Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa at 12:30 pm. From there, she will depart for Bangkok at 2 pm on a chartered Thai Air Force Boeing 737 plane. 

She visited Bodh Gaya, Sarnath and Kushinagar, which are considered the four holy places of Buddhism, and offered prayers. She has come here to worship Lumbini, which is under the four holy places.
