Engineer Mohan Dev Malla, working at the Building and Settlement Development Branch of Barbardiya Municipality, Bardiya, has been arrested with a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh.
A team of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has taken Malla under control along with the bribe money he had taken from a service recipient for facilitating the payment of the final bill for the construction of a 4-room building of Janata Secondary School Rambhapur in Barbardiya-7.
'A team deployed from the Commission's Butwal liaison office in Nepalgunj arrested Engineer Mohan Dev Malla from the Building and Settlement Development Branch of Barbardiya Municipality on Thursday along with the money, while further investigation is underway,' said CIAA spokesperson Suresh Neupane.
