29 candidates have filed their candidacies in Palpa for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.

Palpa Constituency No. 2 Independent candidate Devi Prasad Bhandari, who had registered his nomination for the election of a member of the House of Representatives, has withdrawn his candidacy. There were 13 candidates from Constituency 1 and 17 from Constituency 2. 

Bhandari, a resident of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-3, Bhuwanpokhari, has withdrawn his candidacy as per Sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the House of Representatives Election Act 2074 BS, informed Chief Election Officer Hari Prasad Sharma Upadhyay Pangeni.

17 candidates, including 14 political parties and 3 independents, had filed their nominations in Constituency No. 2. With the withdrawal of three candidates from independent positions, including Bhandari, the number of independent candidates has come to two.

13 candidates, including 9 political parties and 4 independents, have filed their nominations in Constituency No. 1, Election Officer Dasharath Pangeni said. 

Sandeep Rana has registered his candidacy from the Nepali Congress in Palpa Constituency No. 1 and Himal Dutta Shrestha from Constituency No. 2. Similarly, Narayan Prasad Acharya of UML has registered his nomination from constituency number 1 and Thakur Prasad Gaire from constituency number 2.

Hum Bahadur Sunari from constituency number 1 and Som Prasad Pandey from constituency number 2 have registered their nomination from Nepali Communist Party in Palpa. Bimal Pant from constituency number 1 and Madhav Bahadur Thapa from constituency number 2 have registered their candidacy from National Independent Party. Brihaspati Aryal from constituency number 1 and Dul Bahadur Kunwar from constituency number 2 have registered their nomination from RPP.

Narmati Sinjali from constituency number 1 and Bal Bahadur Darlami (Vishal) from constituency number 2 have registered their nomination from Rastriya Janamorcha. Thaman Singh Reshmi Magar from National Republic Nepal, Salan Chidi Magar from Mongol National Organization, and Puran Gaihre Sharma from Nekpan Maoist have registered their nomination from constituency number 1. Koshal Aryal, Dilliraj Kafle, Buddha Bahadur Birkatta and Bachha Dali Miya have registered their nominations independently from Constituency No. 1. 

Top Bahadur Aslami from the National Janmukti Party, Khik Bahadur Reshmi from the Janata Samajwadi Party (single election symbol), Dev Prasad Shrestha from the National Republic Nepal, and Man Bahadur Darlami from the Mongol National Organization have registered their nominations from Constituency No. 2. Krishna Shobha Musyakhwa from the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Ram Bahadur Aslami from the Sovereign Citizen Party, Bishnu Thadrai (Sarki) from the CPN-Maoist, and Bodh Raj Jaisi from the Progressive Democratic Party have registered their nominations independently from Constituency No. 2.
