The UML has changed its candidate at the last minute in Constituency No. 3 of Banke for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Just two days ago, UML had fielded former state minister and member of the Constituent Assembly Dal Bahadur Sunar as its candidate. UML leader Surya Dhakal said that UML has given a ticket to Suman Malla in his place.
The party leadership has assured that Dal Bahadur will be taken to the National Assembly in the coming days. UML has fielded Dhakal, who is also a sitting member of the House of Representatives, as its candidate in Constituency No. 1.
Similarly, in Constituency No. 2, it has given a ticket to former minister Mohammad Ishtiaq Rai. He is the central general secretary of the Ashok Rai-led Janata Samajwadi Party.
