The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has fielded Devendra Poudel of Baglung as its candidate in West Nawalparasi. His single name was recommended from West Nawalparasi Constituency No. 2. Poudel said that he has become a candidate on the basis of that.

Poudel said, 'When I was in charge of Awadh Province during the Maoist conflict, I have traveled all over the place here, worked, and understood the problems. I won the MP seat twice from Baglung Constituency No. 2. This time, I left Baglung because I promised to provide opportunities to young friends there.'

Similarly, the NCP has fielded Sindhu Budhathoki Jalesha as its candidate in Constituency No. 1. Jalesha, who had become a National Assembly member from the CPN-UML in 2070 BS, joined the NCP along with Madhav Kumar Nepal. Jalesha, a resident of Bardaghat, is also an artist.
