The Election Police has received 301 fewer applications than the required number for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The deadline was extended by two days to Friday and Saturday due to insufficient numbers. However, the number of applications received was low.

The number of people required under the Nepal Police is 1,695, but the number of applications received so far is 1,418, said Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Chief Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gulmi. Similarly, the number of people required under the Armed Police Force is 179, but the number of people who have applied so far is 155.

Out of a total of 1,874 people required under both the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, 1,573 applications have been received. Which is 301 less than the required number. As of today, the District Police Office, Gulmi, has registered 1,418 applications for the Election Police, including 1,122 men and 296 women. Which is 277 less than the required number. Similarly, there are 138 men and 17 women in total for the Armed Police Force, including 155 people. Which is 24 less than the required number.

The District Police Office, Gulmi, has stated that no decision has been made regarding extending the deadline or managing it elsewhere.
