Human rights organization Advocacy Forum Nepal has provided sports and educational materials to children at Jayendu Children's Home in Duduwa, Asmanpur, Banke.
The forum has provided materials worth more than Rs 17,000. The children in the reform home had requested assistance in writing after the lack of adequate textbooks and sports materials.

Advocate Basanta Gautam, Lumbini Province Coordinator of Advocacy Forum Nepal, handed over the materials to Kishore Sharma, Head of the Children's Reform Home. Sharma, Head of the Reform Home, said that the forum's support would help the children in their studies and entertainment.
Lumbini Province Coordinator Advocate Gautam informed that the forum has also provided educational assistance to two children involved in legal disputes. Since there is no school in the reform home, the children are forced to study for secondary and higher education in private and government educational institutions outside the reform home by paying fees individually.
He said that the forum has provided assistance to two children who are unable to continue their studies due to their poor financial situation.
Currently, there are 176 children in the Jayendu Children's Reform Home in Banke. Of these, 95 are under the age of 18 and 81 are over the age of 18 and are children involved in legal disputes.
