A crowd of young people has been gathering at the District Police Office since morning to submit applications to the Election Police for the parliamentary elections to be held on Falgun 21.

The government has started accepting applications for election police recruitment from Friday, setting a 40-day period. 1,826 election police officers will be recruited in Bardiya.

The first day of the recruitment process at the Bardiya District Police is Friday morning, with young men and women applying. The application deadline has been extended to Magh 1. Applications can also be submitted on public holidays, said DSP Devendra Kumar Malla, Information Officer of the Bardiya District Police.

The Armed Police Force has also registered the application for election police at the District Police Office. The Armed Police Force will recruit 200 election police officers in Bardiya. Young men and women from villages had reached the police office in the morning to apply.
