A woman has died after being attacked by a tiger that had escaped from Bardiya National Park. The park said that the body was found during a search after the woman, who had gone to cut grass, did not return home in the evening.
Bardiya National Park Information Officer and Senior Conservation Officer Sarojmani Poudel said that 57-year-old Ganga Saru of Bheriganga Municipality-5, Surkhet died in a tiger attack. He said that the woman's body was found in the Shakti Community Forest of Surkhet, which borders Bansgadhi Municipality-1.
