5,403 citizens have received door-to-door service from the 6-day integrated mobile service camp in Purba Khola Rural Municipality of Palpa. The rural municipality has conducted integrated mobile service camps in Siluwa, Birkot, Heklang, Devinagar, Jalpa, and Ringnerah to provide services to citizens who are unable to receive services due to geographical remoteness.
Information Officer Mohan Dhakal said that the camp provided integrated mobile services such as plan agreement, bank account operation, business registration and renewal, distribution of disability identity cards, registration services, senior citizen honors and identity cards.
In addition to distributing scholarships to students, free health check-ups, cervical cancer screening, family planning services, livestock services and medicine distribution, agricultural services, soil testing, foreign employment, surveying and real estate services, orientation on mapping and documentation, and distribution of educational scholarships were provided in the camp.
All types of services provided by the rural municipality were provided by the ward office, said Purbakhola Rural Municipality Chairman Nun Bahadur Thapa. All diseases were tested in the camp. They were given treatment, counseling and referral health services and 447 people have taken services from it.
A reproductive morbidity health camp has also been conducted on the same occasion. Swab collection of 395 people has been done using HPV/DNA method. 164 people have been tested for cervical cancer VIA. One person has been placed with a ring presser for uterine prolapse. 8 people have been found to be positive for IVF. 8 people have been placed with thermos and 12 people with uterine prolapse, and 21 people have been placed with implants.
65 plan agreements have been signed in the camp. All 65 bank accounts have also been operated. 173 business registrations and renewals have been made in the camp. 2 disability identity cards have been distributed. 222 senior citizens have been given honors and identity cards, said Information Officer Mohan Dhakal.
Scholarships have been distributed to 136 students from various schools in all 6 wards. 91 farmers have had soil tests done. More than 3,000 farmers have taken agricultural services. Medicines have been distributed to 8,897 livestock from 508 households.
Chief Administrative Officer Raju Nepal said that citizens of all wards have enthusiastically participated in the camp. He said that providing integrated services to local level citizens at their doorsteps will save time, labor and expenses of the service recipients.
He said that it has become easier for citizens from geographically remote and backward communities to get services from the camp. The rural municipality has increased public awareness about the service, while Bhagirathi Bhattarai, vice-chairperson of the rural municipality, said that it has helped increase the accessibility, effectiveness, and trust of the service.
